Supercross' Biggest Loser Contest Update
National Promoters Group Donates $100 Per Pound for Bevo Forti’s “Supercross’ Biggest Loser” Contest for RiderDown Foundation
Anaheim, CA – The National Promoters Group, promoters of all 12 rounds of the 2007 AMA/Toyota Motocross Championship, announced they will donate $100 for each pound Scott USA’s Bevo Forti loses as part of the “Supercross’ Biggest Loser” program. Forti has embarked on a strict diet and exercise plan, and all per pound donations will go directly to RiderDown Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping injured riders.
“Although Spring Creek hosts one of the 12 largest pro motocross nationals in the country, our constituents by and large are amateur riders,” said Greta Martin, owner of Spring Creek Motocross in Millville, Minnesota. “RiderDown.org caters to all riders, both professional and amateur, and the services they provide are far reaching. The NPG is excited about the opportunity to be involved in such a worthy cause.”
For a baseline, Forti was weighed in on the official FIM scales at the Toronto Supercross in December, measuring in at 351.8 pounds. He will be weighed again at the final supercross round in Las Vegas in May. Pound pledgers can sign on at www.riderdown.org.
