Kyle Chisholm Undergoes Surgery
January 31, 2007 – Team MotoSport Kawasaki rider Kyle Chisholm underwent surgery last week to repair a broken right heel. Chisholm broke his right heel and severely bruised his left heel when he crashed during practice at the Phoenix round of the AMA Amp’d Mobile Supercross series.

Chisholm now has a plate and eight screws to help fuse the bone in his heel. The surgery was performed by Dr. Steve Augustine and Dr. Greg Solis, both of the Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute. Chisholm’s stitches will be removed this Friday and he will begin working with his trainer to create a rehabilitation program.
“I plan on working hard to stay in shape. I know I can focus on low-impact cardio, such as swimming, and working on upper body strength,” continued Chisholm. “I’m really bummed to be missing the Supercross series, but I am going to try and come to a few races to stay in the groove as much as possible.”
