Monster Energy/Babbitt’s Kawasaki Team’s Darcy Lange Sweeps BooKoo AX
Former Arenacross Series champion rebounds from Friday night DQ in premier 450 class to win both 250s and 450s on Saturday
CARLSBAD, Calif., (Jan 3, 2007) – The Monster Energy-backed Babbitt’s Kawasaki Race Team’s Darcy Lange overcame a tough DQ call this past Friday night to rally to a double main event victory on Saturday at round four of the 2007 Boo Koo Arenacross Series at Texas’ Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum.
Lange, who has a comfortable lead on both the 250 and 450 class standings through four rounds of the ten-round series, topped a field on Saturday that included the stars from the Toyota AMA National Arenacross Series.
“It’s always fun when the competition dates allow racers from both series to get together and compete,” said Lange. “I was pumped to be able to win both classes on Saturday.”
Also racing for the Monster Energy-backed Babbitt’s Kawasaki team was Utah’s Gray Davenport. Filling in for the injured Jeff Northrop, Davenport’s highlight on the weekend was a 6th place finish in Friday’s 450 class.
Next up for Monster Energy’s Babbitt’s Kawasaki round five of the Boo Koo Arenacross Series this weekend (Jan. 5-7) at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pa.
