MDK Speed Equipment Begins Supercross '07 Season Strong
San Jose, CA – December 4, 2006 – MDK Racing riders aboard their MDK Speed Equipment Honda’s posted great results at their first 2007 Supercross event in Toronto. Xyience/MDK Racing’s Nick Wey took the hole shot in both his heat race and the main event in the Premier 450 Class, and David Vuillemin was third fastest overall in practice, just tenths of a second behind Stewart and Carmichael. In addition, DV12 and Nyk were the top finishing Honda’s in Toronto, 5th and 6th respectively.
“I was stoked on the MDK Speed Equipment engine package getting the holeshot twice in one night, both in my heat and the main,” stated Nick Wey. “I am really looking forward to getting my bike a little more dialed-in. Holeshots have always been a strong suit for me, and Erich Shofstall of MDK SE gets it and translates it to the track.”
Steve Lamson, MDK Racing team manager said, “this was an excellent start to the Supercross season for MDK Racing, DV12 and Nyk. The MDK Speed Equipment Honda’s performed great, but this is just the beginning we have lots of work to do. The MDK team already has an excellent record in the privateer ranks, but we are really going to take it to another level this year.”
