L&M Racing Announces Title Sponsor
L&M Racing is pleased to announce the signing of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians as the team’s title sponsor for the 2006-’07 Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series. This pairing is history in the making; San Manuel will be the first ever Sovereign Tribal Nation to become a “title” sponsor of a Supercross team. Building on the shared value of empowerment through self reliance between the Tribe and the riders, San Manuel hopes to send a positive, highly visible message to both Native and non-native youth.
Located near Highland, California, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a strong commitment to teaching its history and sharing resources. The Tribe regularly reinvests its resources with local area community groups and non-profit organizations to improve and strengthen the quality of life within the community. When asked about the motivation behind empowering a Supercross team to join them in communicating their shared values, Audrey Martinez, Treasurer, San Manuel Business Committee said “Chad and Nathan’s dedication to the sport and their desire to succeed in what is predominantly an individual sport embodies the Tribe’s perseverance and our struggle for self-reliance. It is our hope to share these values with the greater community.”
