AMA Texas State Championship - Pro Purse
Wortham, TX. (October 4, 2006) - Now that Freestone County Raceway has embarked on bringing the recognized AMA Texas State Motocross Championship (November 17-19, 2006), it has taken the next step in giving the event more importance. Not only will the AMA get to crown 39 Champions in the state of Texas, this will also be a points paying weekend for the 125 and 250 A classes. Concept Haulers, Berkey's Plumbing and Miller Electric are also supporting the classes with a total of $6000 Pro Purse.
For riders that have not received their AMA Pro license, the Pro Point weekend (Pro/Am) will allow riders to gain their national points in obtaining a AMA Pro license. Points are awarded based on overall finish according to the scale below. Points are not combined between the 125 and 250 classes. A total of 100 Pro/Am points must be earned in one class to receive a AMA Pro license.

Online sign up will be activated for the AMA Texas State Motocross Championship on November 1st.

Freestone County Raceway (FCR) is located in Wortham, Texas on the 1150 acre Miller Ranch, six miles west of I-45 at exit #213. FCR is one hour south of downtown Dallas and 2 1/2 hours north of downtown Houston. Freestone County Raceway was established in 2000 and promotes the largest, richest series in the state of Texas on a per round basis with the AMA Texas Winter Series.
