AMA "Recognized" Texas State Championship
(Wortham, Texas) - Freestone County Raceway is proud to announce the recognized AMA Texas State Championship. The success of state championships have a long standing history and have boasted some of the United States' finest racers in amateur motocross. In 2006, the Texas State Championship will be a stand alone, winner take all event that will span over two days at the 1150 acre Miller Ranch in Wortham, Texas on November 18-19, 2006. This will give each class champion the recognition as the AMA Texas State Champion for that year. Formally, the event was promoted as the Bookoo Energy Fall Classic.
The format for Saturday, November 18th will be all Mini's, Women's, Beginners, Schoolboy and Youth classes. Additionally the classes on Saturday offer a Women's Pro class, separate from the Women's Amateur and along with separate 2-stroke and 4-stroke Schoolboy/Youth classes respectively. On Sunday, November 19th all Vet's, Collegeboy, Novice, Intermediate, and Pro classes will be on tap. Sunday's format in 2006 will eliminate the 4-Stroke Open class and be replaced by the 250F Amateur Open and 450F Amateur Open classes.
