Unbound Energy Drink-Backed MX Stars Wrap Up ’06 Outdoor Nationals Season
Unbound Energy Drink sponsors most racers ranked in the MX class’ top 15 overall
CARLSBAD, Calif., (Sept. 11, 2006) – If there was some sort of trophy for the energy drink company sponsoring the most athletes in the top 15 overall in the Outdoor Nationals’ AMA Motocross class, the hands-down winner would be Unbound Energy Drink.
With no less than five Unbound Energy Drink-backed racers in the top 15, Unbound was – by far – the most recognizable energy drink brand in the Nationals’ premier class. Representing Unbound Energy in the top 15 overall were: 6th – Chad Reed (Yamaha), 8th – Nick Wey (Unbound Energy/MDK Motorsports), 9th – Tim Ferry (Unbound/Moto XXX), 10th – Josh Summey (Unbound/Moto XXX) and 14th – Kyle Lewis (Unbound/Moto XXX).
“On behalf of the entire staff at Unbound Energy Drink I’d like to congratulate our racers for an incredible summer of racing,” said Unbound Energy’s Jon Bratta. “The final results, with five athletes that Unbound Energy backs ranked in the top 15 overall in the world’s premier motocross series, by far exceeded our expectations when the season began.
“Again, nice going, guys. Unbound Energy couldn’t be happier with your efforts.”
Top Unbound Energy Drink-backed placers in the Motocross class at this past weekend’s contest at Glen Helen include: Wey (5th), Summey (7th) and Ferry (10th).
In the Lites class Unbound Energy’ Drinks Broc Hepler had his three-race win streak snapped, but still wound placing a respectable 8th overall and 6th in the season standings.
