Tamer Awarded Patent on Starting Device
Lincoln, NE (July 17, 2006)
Tamer Billet MX Inc. was awarded a US Patent (7,051,852) for the Tamer Holeshot Hookup starting device. Starting devices have been in use by almost every racer around the World for quite some time. The devices are mounted on the front fork of the motorcycle and lower the front end during starts.
“This has been a long time coming, but the number is issued and we have it in our possession. It is a great feeling,” stated company president Kevin Maret.
Maret continues, “We will begin working with all company’s that may be infringing upon our patent. It is our goal to work agreements with those company’s who are infringing allowing them to continue with their product under a license agreement.”
Tamer’s Holeshot Hookup lowers forks 2”- 4” for starts and holds them there until automatically released in the first turn by applying the front brake. While engaged, more power is driven to the rear wheel, and it is almost impossible for the front wheel to leave the ground. This translates into more drive and control off the start. The Holeshot Hookup is CNC machined from billet aluminum and made in the U.S.A. to exacting tolerances. Color is black anodize with laser etched graphics and holds a lifetime warranty.
