May 6, 2006-Las Vegas, Nevada -- A sold out Sam Boyd Stadium played host to the most anticipated Supercross race in recent memory. The main headliner was the battle between Factory Yamaha Chad Reed and Ricky Carmichael to settle the AMA point championship! Added buzz included the semi-retirement of Ricky Carmichael from full time racing and the live SPEED television coverage! So sit back, fasten your lap belts and get ready for Supercross history to unfold!

It is often said, "You are only as good as your last race." That being the case-Team SoCal Racing/P-LoK/Lucas Oils/Yamaha is ALL GOOOD! SoCal Racing rider Jiri Dostal continued his hot streak- qualifying for six of his last seven main events! Picking up in semi-two, Dostal grabbed the Barnett high-powered start! "Blazing" Jiri Dostal ran in first position ahead of Factory Yamaha rider, Heath Voss and Team Tamer/SoCal Racing, Jacob Saylor. The #70 YZF450 eventually finished the race in second place and qualified into the Las Vegas Main Event!

The Las Vegas main saw James Stewart grab the holeshot and checkout out for the night! The focus of the night was on Reed and Carmichael. The "Goat" proved once again why he is the consummate champion! Ricky finished in second; good enough for the AMA Amp'd Mobile Supercross Championship! Meanwhile, James "New Beginning" Stewart took home Vegas and the World Supercross title!

Team SoCal Racing/P-LoK/Lucas Oils/Yamaha rider Jiri Dostal exhibited an impressive display of speed and finished the night in 11th position, ahead of Tyler Evans and Jason "JT$" Thomas.
