present fans with an all-new slant on the racing experience.
Thomson’s RCA brand is an Associate Sponsor of Holigan Racing’s Team
Boo-Koo.
The event is 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Indianapolis retailer H.H.
Gregg on 96th Street near Keystone. The Friday event is the
kickoff for Saturday’s Supercross event at the RCA Dome where gates
open at 12:30 p.m. and the Main Event is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m..
At H.H. Gregg, Team Boo-Koo riders #12 David Vuillemin and #141 Steve
Boniface will be on hand to hang with fans while Thomson
representatives demonstrate the LYRA X3000, the portable entertainment
device engineered for the real speed of sound. Attendees can test
drive the X3000 and register for a chance to join Team Boo-Koo in the
pits at the Saturday race.
“The Friday event includes a remote radio broadcast featuring WRZX103FM
personalities Stuck and Gunner along with appearances from Team Boo-Koo
crew members and the fabulous Boo-Koo girls,” said Thomson’s Sean
Sharpe, Manager of Product Marketing for the LYRA X3000. “Along
with product demos, we’ll give away 10 X3000 units to lucky listeners
who tune in to the broadcast.”
The X3000 is a pocket-size Personal Multimedia Recorder that enables
the direct recording of audio and video content from multiple sources
without using a computer. The device provides an array of
recording options. Using an included home theater docking base,
consumers can easily record audio and video directly from an external
source such as analog TV, DVD player, CD player or camcorder. The
X3000 stores up to 80 hours of pre-recorded video or thousands of mp3
song titles.
A convenient X3000 feature for racing fans is timer recording – you can
set the device to record a Supercross event while attending the race,
then play back highlights later. Or, personal racing photos can
be developed into a slide-show with audio commentary provided by the
consumer with the device’s microphone and voice labeling feature.
