Factory Effex announces 2006 Team Lineup
Valencia, Calif. – With our 2006 catalog in circulation and the 2006 Supercross Series right around the corner, Factory Effex is pleased to announce our lineup of professional teams and riders for the 2006 season.
Team MotoSport Honda
Paul Carpenter
Robert Kiniry
Danny Smith
Kelly Smith
“This year Factory Effex was involved with designing an all new 18-wheel Feather Lite Semi for Team MotoSport,” said Scott Gilly, V.P. of Sales. “Each of the team riders for MotoSport has shown brilliant speed and the ability to be podium contenders for 2006. The team will focus on the Lite Supercross class exclusively. With new team leadership in the form of Mark Johnson, we expect this team will have 100% turnaround from past years.”
Team Star Racing Yamaha
Sean Collier
Matt Goerke
Bryan Johnson
“Star Racing has finally received the well-earned official factory equipment they desperately need,” said Gilly. “They will compete again in the Lites division for Supercross and Nationals on Factory Yamaha YZF250’s. The team has shown great speed in the off-season and we are looking forward to a great season with Bobby Reagan and crew.”
Team Subway/Coca-Cola Honda
Jeff Gibson
Keith Johnson
Jason Thomas
New to the Factory Effex family for 2006 is the Subway/Coca-Cola/Chuck Schultz backed Supercross team. “We’ve had the privilege of working with 2 of the 3 riders on this team in the past, so Jason Thomas is our newest recruit to Factory Effex,” Gilly said. “This team is full-time Supercross and Motocross on Honda CRF450’s. Chuck Schultz has been a dream to work with. By working with sponsors like Subway and Coca-Cola it’s evident that Schultz’s team has elevated the motorcycle industries’ ability to work with some of the largest companies outside our sport. Like many of the team managers we work with, Chuck has been wonderful during the transition to Factory Effex. It’s evident he knows exactly what he wants for his team image and results. Chuck is a true leader, which by today’s standards is essential for success.”
Team Rock Star Energy Suzuki
Tyler Evans
Factory Effex will continue to work with Tyler Evans as his exclusive sponsor for 2006 and beyond. “Tyler, like many other top riders in Supercross, has chosen to ride a 450,” said Gilly. “Tyler brings many of his sponsors like BloodShot, Pro Circuit, DVS Shoe Company and Utopia to his new deal with Suzuki/Rock Star. Factory Effex designed both Tyler’s 2006 bikes as well as his rig for this season.”
Privateers
Josh Cavanaugh
Nick Foister
Scott Howe
Jase Merrit
Gerrit Ordelman
Ryan Orr
Levi Reid
Shane Smith
Dennis Stapleton
Timmy Weigand
Tiffer Wright
Michael Young
”I’m very excited about our lineup of privateer racers for 2006,” said Chris Williams, Rider Support Manager. “Many of our riders have been with us for several years and we’re excited about the new additions. With the teams getting larger each year, it’s easy to lose sight of grass-roots marketing in this sport but our privateers help bridge the gap between the teams and the fans. It’s much easier to approach the privateers than the big teams and their accessibility is the exact reason we align ourselves with these riders. I’m looking forward to a great season for each of these riders.”
