Team Babbitt Enxus Kawasaki to Visit Motorcycle Mechanics Institute
SANTA ANA, CA (December 9, 2005) – Advanstar – a leading provider of
print, event and online media for the powersports, off-road and
automotive aftermarket industries – is proud to honor the winners of
the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute MMI Pro Tech Award through the first
four rounds.
“I would like to thank MMI for everything they have done in the motorcycle industry,” said Rob Burkhart,
round four winner of the MMI Pro Tech Award. “By providing training and
education, they have opened doors to many new possibilities. Their
programs have helped develop better racing on all levels. Their award
helps recognize many people working hard behind the scenes in the
industry.”
Motorcycle Mechanics Institute has given away $600 through the first
four rounds of the K&N presents BooKoo Arenacross Championship
Series Brought to you by Toyota to the technician who has gone above
and beyond the call of duty to get their rider into the main event.
Each round one hard working technician will be awarded with a $150
check before Saturday night’s main events.
“We at MMI would like to believe that the technician has a little bit to do with the success of the rider,” said Terry Emig,
Director of Event Marketing for Universal Technical Institute. “The MMI
Pro Tech award helps bring awareness to how long and hard these
mechanics work to get the riders bikes dialed in. After all, without a
finely tuned bike, the rider won’t have the confidence in his bike.”

rounds included Rob Burkhart of Team Fun Center PPG TLD Suzuki, Nick Spano of Team BooKoo Energy Al Lambs Honda, Junior Jackson of Team Babbitt Enxus Kawasaki, and Glen Sharp of Team Sharp Racing.
