Monster Energy Kawasaki Welcomes The Bone Collector in Atlanta

Thursday, February 21, 2013 | 4:10 PM
Irvine, Calif. – Monster Energy Kawasaki riders Ryan Villopoto and Jake Weimer will have an extra logo on their race bikes this weekend as Michael Waddell’s The Bone Collector has joined the team for the Atlanta supercross at the Georgia Dome.

“Michael and the Bone Collector crew are good friends of Kawasaki,” said Kawasaki Senior Manager of Racing Reid Nordin. “They joined us last summer at the AMA National Motocross Championships at Loretta Lynn’s and since then both Michael and his young son have started riding motocross for fun. We are pleased to have everyone at Bone Collector as part of our team in Atlanta.”

Along with Waddell’s Bone Collector logo on the leading edge of the front fender, Michael will join the team during its autograph session at 3pm signing autographs alongside Villopoto and Weimer at the Monster Energy hospitality area during the supercross pit party.

Based near in Columbus, Ga., Michael Waddell’s The Bone Collector is a hugely popular show on the Outdoor Channel and along with the television show, Waddell has created a successful line of Bone Collector licensed products featuring apparel and outdoors gear which is available at retailers across the country.

Why in the hell would anyone at a super cross want his autograph? Is he a good racer or what, Ive never herd of him.

jgbvr, why would you ever criticize a new outside sponsor? Dirt bikers have a lot more to gain from a relationship with the hunting/outdoor community than they do. Their numbers are exponentially greater and any chance to draw additional fans can only be a positive. Besides, they buy most of the sport utility ATVs that pay for the losses that manufacturers are taking on MX bikes. I am a hunter/outdoorsman as well as a Vet weekend practice MXer: I think it is a great combo.
