Bell lawn darting and the AMA & Honda & his parents letting him go back out there was the most surprising.
Cole Thompson. 3rd was good, it's the crash that was surprising.
Definitely J.Martin not being able to enter the main. He qualified 2nd, he should've been a top5 guy in the main event if his stamina was OK
Cole Thompson was unreal ! He was riding smooth until the crash hope he's all good.
thompson!!!! biased opinion though because im canadian
Bell had on one of those new 6D helmets I believe....you know, with all the little built in shock absorbers.......that greatly reduce head trauma and concussions etc etc......maybe there on to something
I dont care what helmet you're wearing; when you get KO'ed for several minutes you should not be racing that evening. Amazing how first his parents, then Gieco Honda, then AMA and last the Astrisks medical unit all failed to see this. I am surprised there hasnt been more talk of this. Hows he feeling after his midnight snack into the berm? I guess if you don't talk about it; its like it never happen and it will just go away.
money and fame will make us all do things that may not be best for us to do............look at jackass series and tp199
Yeah let's talk about it! Took the test after it happened, passed it. Shut up already. Don't throw out the bs that he wrecked in the main because of it either. He hasn't finished too many pro races he's started. If you want to have it safe go watch ping pong.
The AMA should revoke Zach Bell's Pro license. He's a danger to himself and to fellow competitors, and shouldn't be racing at this level. Period.
^^^^^pffft! Hogwash.......
At least suspend the kid for 3 months like the UFC does for a KO or TKO.
I wish Ralph would quit calling the best riders in the world daredevils.
Bell passed his impact test. said he didn't get KO'd and remembered the whole thing. If I flew 100 feet and hit the ground, I wouldn't be to quick to move even when conscious. I'm sure he wasn't forced to race. He knows the danger. He scares me a little when he races, but I don't think he should be benched from his dream.
Yeah just like RGIII was ready to go in. The player is always going to say I'm good, send me in. Like when Bell told Erin, with tears, I'm glad to be alive.
Unfortunately I called the Bell crash. He's just too short and small. You could see his timing was off and I predicted a crash. Just didn't figure it would be that bad. Twice!
Was also at Unadilla last summer to see that. He should stick with a 150.
Dungey & Carmichael crashed too a lot as rookies.
Hey Star Racing, good call dropping Peters. Your team is a joke.
I didn't think Bell should have gone back out. That was one scary ass getoff. But, If they say he passed the test whats he going to do argue with them?
@elbow He didn't pass the impact test because you have to wait over a day before you can even take it.
I don't know about ya'll but, if I was leading a race with 19 guys behind me and wadded on the landing of a triple I wouldn't just lay there in the middle of the track in an awkward position unless I was knocked out. Pretty simple math if you ask me.
AGMAN's first post nailed it imo and pretty bad for rxo to ignore it. How do you let a kid land like that and not take him to hospital for observation over night in case of internal injury? Sorry, bad memory but for some reason I want to say I remember a case of a rider passing away not long ago from internal injury that should have been watched after accident.
Half the people on here are self proclaimed experts, the rest are total nerds.....and a few fairies thrown in.....lol
This kid crashes like this all the time.....he is like Gumby....he gets back up and does it again....or MR Bill from SNL ......no...."MR BELL"...OOOHHHH NOOOO
Seriously guys, I have had a similar crash where I came down on my midsection like that....couldn't move for minutes....couldn't breathe!....EVERYONE kept saying I was knocked out....I WAS NOT........although, I do admit, I thought he might be out too....will have to watch it again
My buddy belly flopped from way up while skiiing too....same deal....we all thought he was out cold....he just couldn't move or breathe....for a while....was scary....happened right next to me....the sound was unreal. He was OK 15 minutes later. We were skiing the rest of the day.......and I remember thinking he could be like dead, or close to it.
I agree @griffter, you definitely are a self proclaimed expert a nerd and definitely half if not more fairy.
