Sipes Cleared to Ride
Friday, March 1, 2013 | 9:20 AMWe have received word from Rockstar Energy Racing's Ryan Sipes that he has received clearance to begin riding again after suffering a hairline fracture in his wrist at A2. Sipes released a statement saying the following:
I got clearance to ride today, finally. It went as good as could be expected. My hand was a little weak and tender, but not bad. The bone felt strong and painless. The pain was mainly from muscle weakness and overall stiffness from being off so long. So it was encouraging. It has only been three weeks since surgery, so I feel like I'm in a good place. I am gonna try and get as much bike time as possible over the next few weeks and try to get it stronger. My goal is to race the 450 at Toronto on March 23, hopefully earlier. Thanks again for your continued support! I'm very thankful for you guys sticking behind me. See you at the races soon.

Good to hear. I enjoy watching the Sipes bros. They used to come to d17 and wax my buddies.
Earlier means Daytona in two weeks. Good luck.

Rock On,stay healthy and kick some ---!!!!
Sipes is my favorite, he's from my home state KY, Glad to see him back!!
Why not just heal up for the nationals? Trying to qual on a 450 roughly 6 weeks after wrist (3 spent not actually riding) surgery with as stacked a field as 2013 seems like a tall order.
This KY boy will be glad to see him back!!!
