Dating back to October with all the things happening to Dungey, do you think he deserves a better ride? Or is KTM just working out a few kinks? I mean I understand a few mechanical problems..Heck Stewart just had a freak mishap last week... but it seems like Ryan is fighting a losing battle. With the recent suspension problems and back from MEC he has just had problem after problem, I just feel that if Ryan was able to experience the feel of a more trusted bike he could show his full potential. Thanks!

You are aware that Ryan Dungey is the current National Motocross champion, aren’t you? There’s no way you get through 12 rounds, 24 motos, in the most grueling conditions possible with a team that doesn’t have its shit together. It just doesn’t happen. I’m sure KTM learned a lot last summer and they are continuing to learn at every race. That is true of every team and especially when you are talking about a race team that is only a couple years old. Don’t feel bad for Dungey… his equipment is just fine.

For the love of God, Can you please tell me why Chad Reed picks his bike up cross handed? I’ve seen him do it more than a few times and it drives me crazy! He is not the only one I’ve seen do it over the last few years…what am I missing? Are these guys used to someone else picking their bike up for them at the practice track and just don’t know how to pick up the motorcycle? Please watch his San Diego crash and tell me why his right hand is on the clutch and his left is on the throttle and he is standing on the kick starter side of the bike, he then has to let go of the throttle reach over and grab the clutch, let go with his right hand and grab the throttle. I just don’t understand, please enlighten me oh wise one.

Reed picking up his Honda or two guys wrestling? Too close to call.
It looks awkward but I’m sure the reason is that he is trying to keep the bike running. His first reaction is to grab the clutch and he did it there with his right hand. Of course when he goes to pick up his bike it looks like his CRF has him in some type of MMA sleeper hold. And then it jumps out of his hands and stalls and he looks like a total Joe and probably wants to crawl under a Tuff Block and lie there forever. That’s what I’d do. Or maybe I would just grab the clutch with my left hand.

First off I will admit when I'm wrong. I guess I didn't realize that Speed would ask the fourth place rider for an interview. I could be wrong but I never noticed fourth getting interviewed before. I don't like James, but I would never boo any of these guys. I think James is amazing on a motorcycle, there is no denying that. I just don't like the arrogance and the lack of respect he shows the other riders. My favorite was, “There won't be no 24 and 0 this year baby.” The problem is I'm a fan of the guys who show heart. James lacks that. Now before you say he's showing heart by riding with a torn up knee, I don't buy it. I read on Racer head a couple weeks ago where he needed so many top 10's to get his Red Bull money. We'll see when the nationals roll around how much heart he has.
You might want to be careful who you call a crap bag; it's a good way to get knocked on your ass.

You sound like a no-nonsense kind of fecal container so I’ll keep this short and sweet and definitely watch my P’s and Q’s. Look, I completely understand where you are coming from. James isn’t the straight-shooting workhorse that Ricky Carmichael was. But that’s a good thing. James is his own special little snowflake. And love him or hate him he provides entertainment. He is incredible to watch ride and his drama is an interesting storyline. Red Bull debunked the rumor that he needed a certain number of top finishes to get his bonus so scratch that. Will he ride the Nationals? I don’t know… he seems to be coming around in supercross.

Funny, but after the race I felt a bit bummed because James and Chad had good races but I wasn't going to get an feel for how they felt about it. Lo and behold, speed tv thinks like I do and they did throw in a quick interview with each of them. It was not unreasonable to interview more than just the top three when fans such as myself were interested in the top 5 that race. It might seem weird to interview Brayton or Short after a 4th or 5th because they so often are out of the top three. But Reed and Stewart are superstars of the sport and fans want more from them.

Ping - they are setting them up but you are pulling your punches. The last letter bespoke of a "King of the Hill" style, country bumpkinized zoom slack jawed retort that would have questioned his mother huggning him enough and his overall fiber intake. The cross handed letter missed the comic goldmine of the fact that he just teakettled and his world was spinning counterclockwise due to the direction of the coriolis effect in Down Under, and to him, crosswise is normal. The first letter had "Armchair Quarterback" written all over it, and you could have slipped in some references to the butt-shape that he formed into his couch over the long period of time cogitating on his letter, while Rodger had already machined a whole new bike out of pure unobtainium on the ancient manual bridgeport mill they show him standing in front of.
Buddy, you need to develop some issues! All this clean living is killing you.

Come on peeps. We are dirt bike fans. Keep things in perspective....we have our favorite riders, and riders that are not our favorites. Why then do some of us feel inclinded to have such deep distaste for a non-favorite rider? Just let them be.
There are many things over the years that have made me a fan of other riders more, however you have to give it James...he is making a go of riding dirt bikes....he respects and loves his parents...and has crashed his brains out more than anyone, yet he still keeps riding! He has a huge ranch with a dream track and shop....common guys, don;t be jealous. He's living the dream and giving back to many amateurs.

To the haters: Say what you want about Stewie, but there is no denying that he is the 3rd most winningest rider in Supercross history and will almost assuredly pass Carmichael for 2nd. His win last Saturday was solid, old-school Stewart and if he continues, I'm sure it'll get real quiet in haterville again.

He cares so much about his racing that he will blatantly lie about the cause of his crashes. His heart is so big, he would even blame an innocent person crossing the track for a crash. There's only one reason why they interviewed the fourth place rider for the only time in the history of planet Earth, and we all know what that is.
I'll also say this. It's laughable that some people think they can simply call somebody a name like "nazi" or "hater" or "redneck," in an effort to stifle people from stating their opinions on James Stewart.
These ignominious individuals are not going to call anybody those names when people criticize Chad Reed for picking his bike up in a weird way, or when people criticize J-Law. Those of you who think you can change anyone's behavior by calling them a "nazi" or "hater" or "redneck" can suck snot through a crazy straw on a cold morning in Connecticut.

Dungey still has a decent shot at this title, he's not too far from Millo, close to Villo and roosting Brillo.
I'll just say that this series might prove what I've been saying all along - air forks aren't all they're cracked up to be, and riders like Villo and Dungey are taking it in the shorts. For the sake of less unsprung weight, I hope they overcome the obstacles and make the best suspension ever, but the results and lap times compared to last year cannot be ignored.
Sure, the simple tracks keep everyone from the disqualified LCQ riders to the 450 main winners within 1.2 seconds per lap, but I believe the air suspension deflects more in turns, and that's the main problem in the forks. It's just not as supple on the deflection bumps from my experience.
@Spotted Marley: After reading some of the earlier posts you know your right. I can totally see the comparison of starving, gassing and shooting innocent people in concentration camps. Man how did I not see it.

@SpeedShifter - I've seen fourth and fifth place riders interviewed plenty of times - especially when it's the longer live broadcast. So if that's what you mean by "we all know what that is," then yes. But since I'm sure that's NOT what you mean, then, um, no.
Critics of Stewart have plenty of ammo, but making stuff up kind of skews your message.

I'm not sure how we got on the subject, but I don't see how starving Nazis is all that evil. It doesn't rise to the level of killing millions of innocent Jews including women and children. We didn't round up all the German civilians after the war and gas them. I seem to remember the Germans started WW2 by invading their neighbors. Love him or hate him you can't say Stewart has no heart. Even before now. Anyone who builds a reputation as "win or crash" has to have heart. James has always ridden at the edge of the envelope, knowing that if things went wrong he was going down hard. It takes heart to push that hard knowing you could get hurt bad. All of these guys have it. As for the discussion of him riding outdoors, I don't see it happening. He may be riding for his fans now, or for money as someone suggested, but he has to get his knee fixed at some point. Summer makes the most sense. Everyone knows he prefers SX, and probably makes more money for it than MX.
