Ask Ping!
Friday, February 15, 2013 | 8:40 AMDear Ping,
I was thinking with MX needing a boost to hopefully bring more fans, money and exposure to the sport, we need to do what a lot of other sports have done. We need to send a washed up MX star to Dancing with the Stars show! And since us white guys can't dance worth a crap...I think we should send you!
What do you think? Could be good for mx and fun for you, although I have never seen this show they talk about...
Signed
Washed up too...
Washed up,
Yeah, right… sure you’ve never seen it. You sit there and watch every rumba, samba, tango and mambo until you can almost see yourself in one of those sparkling outfits, which are so tight that anyone watching could correctly identify your junk in a lineup. Pervert. I’ve caught a few episodes as I too have been drawn in by the rhythmic stylings of Juliana Hough and Chad Ocho Cinco on the dance floor. I’d love to represent the sport and make an appearance but the only thing that gets me on the dance floor these days is a couple rum-and-cokes and at that point the only thing I’m a good ambassador for is sobriety. I think Windham is a better choice for this and I’ll pass along the request.
PING
Hey Ping,
Hope all is well. Wondering your opinion on Millsaps…The kid rode Suzuki most of his younger career and now he’s back on the yellow machine. Do you think that sparked his new found confidence / points lead?
Thanks;
Luke Rowan
Fan from Canada!
Luke,
Do I think that having a yellow bike under him has somehow allowed him to go more than ten laps without doing a slow fade to middle of the pack? No. The Suzuki 450 is a great bike but it’s nothing like the RM125 he rode to a supercross title all those years ago. His newfound confidence was brought on by long bicycle rides, sweat, lifting weights, more sweat and laps at the practice track until the sun goes down. There’s no easy way to earn it. I’m sure his growing family has had something to do with it and the fact that he has a good team around him that fits his personality. I think Ezra Lusk has played a part in it as well… Yogi drug him out of bed all off-season and shaped him into the athlete he has become. Kudos to Davi, the Rockstar team, Ezra and everyone else involved in that effort; this is their title to lose.
PING
Ping,
Are they going to make the podium down to fourth place now? The last two weeks James Stewart was lucky and got fourth and they interview him on Speed like he won. I always thought when you got fourth you rode your ass back to the pits and figured out how to go faster next week, not treat it like a victory. Do you think R.C. would've hung out to get interviewed after getting fourth? Man I miss that guy.
?,
I’m guessing you are one of the crap bags who boo’s James during opening ceremonies? Look, hate James all you want but don’t twist things around. James didn’t pull off the track and ride over to the podium to try and get someone to interview him. He was stopped by the television crew and asked to do an interview. If he declines and rides back to the pits you would call him a sore loser and a d#^k. If he stays and does the interview he is somehow a pansy for not storming back to the truck to marinate in his anger. MAKE UP YOUR MIND! I’m not saying you have to like James but show some respect to a multi-time champion who can still go out with torn up knee and put down the quickest lap times of the night.

Hey ping,
Kinda lame I know, but force of habit on corrections. Yes, it happens to me too....
Davi never won a supercross title on suzuki. I remember langston edged him. I thought his title was on Honda, and on a four (piece of crap) stroke.
Well said Ping. I think some people feel the need to have a bad guy to hate and for a lot of people that's James. You can see it in sports, and in everything else nowadays. Its not good enough to have the side you like, you have to say hateful things about the other guy too. Whether its sports, politics, music, or anything else, its not good enough to just like what you like and leave it at that. People are so angry today and need to spew hate even more than they need to express appreciation for the things/people they admire.
windham on dancing with the stars!!! hahahahahaha awesome, definitely needs to happen!!
I believe Dirt625 is half right. Davi did win his title on the Honda. But I am pretty sure it wasn't on a piece of crap. I mean, if a factory Honda 250f is a piece of crap, geesh I'd love to know what Dirt owns. It must be unbelievable.
Ping standing up for Stewart - that just blew my mind -
Ping standing up for Stewart - that just blew my mind -
That was an excellent retort!
Davi was never on a Honda until the premiere class that I can remember. He was always factory Suzuki in the lites
Thanks Ping for saying the truth about Stewart. He's a moto stud and only idiots don't see it. It drives me crazy to hear the slop people say about him. I hope he can heal (enough) by the time outdoors comes. It would suck without him out there.
Why does our sport need more fans, money and exposure (mainstream)? I haven't seen the sport get better for it. Sure a few riders are making good money. Is that because there is more money or is that rider just taking more from the pot? Is the racing better because of the colored pyro and fancy intro screens? It seems that all that really happens is it costs more for everybody to race because they have to look more "professional". More fans does not mean more people buying bikes. The things that should be focused on FIRST are rider safety (f'in tuff blocks) and making sure the riders make enough money to at least get home. The more something is made to be accepted by more people, the further it strays from what it started as.
Millsaps was on a Suzuki, but an RMZ 250, not RM 125. Davi isn't that old:)
Davi rode his first supercrosses on the RM 125 - Dallas East Coast 03' or 04' i cannot remember off hand - but this is true - I still have old VHS tapes of it. Stewart was on the East that year dominating - the only race he did not win was Indy as he crashed hard in practice and had a concussion - Hansen won that night and Davi bagged his first podium - definately on the 125 RM. Like Stewart, Davi was only 16 when he entered the pros - he is 24 now - not that old indeed.
It was 05' actually. the first year the RMZ 250 was introduced - remember at that time the Kawi and the Suzook were the same bike but with differnt color plastic and a different front fender/plate and tank shrouds - was funny because he was the biggest guy on Suzuki's 125/250F team but had to ride the Tiddler - listen to the DMXS radio Archive - Millsaps talked about this a couple of weeks ago actually!
You know dirt625's clapped out 2 smoke is 100 times better than those factory four strokes. This whole four stroke thing is just a big conspiracy for the man to make more money! And to kill the privateers! And to kill the sport! And to take our jobs! And China!
....on another note... I always love the Ask Ping! but this week wasn't the best. The wit was a little thin and I detected some actual... seriousness... in the Bubba one.
Millsaps won his title on a Suzuki, and it was a RMZ 250..He didnt ride Honda until he went to the 450 class, I'm pretty sure.. The guy asking the question about Stewie being interviewed didnt seem to have a problem with Reed being interviewed, they get interviewed because those guys have fans and want to hear what they have to say about the race, period..They arent getting up on the podium for interviews, its for TV.. Geesh, find something else to complain about..
@731Chpper--True on the Ping stuff, I can remember Ping ripping on Stewie a few times myself, especially when Stewie had his reality show.. Now he goes to bat for him.. But he was right, it was kind of a silly question....
BD 200 you are correct he won the title in 06' on the Sukuki RMZ 250 then signed with Honda and took the #1 plate with him to the red team. He repeated as champion that next year- Josh Grant was second on the Geico/Factorry connection Honda - or whatever it was called back then!
04' Minneapolis Supercross - Millsaps first 125 east sx on RM 125 - fourteenth place - Just came out of the RacerX vault - Sorry for the incorrect data
05' was third overall on 250F
06' - Champ
07' - 450SX - 5th OA
Hey Pitbull, did you know that the US govt and Bush brought down the trade centers? Did you know that JFK was really shot by aliens? Did you know that Jimmy Hoffa and Elvis are STILL alive today and are hidden among the fans of SX?
Dude.. Obviously Ping is just as sick about hearing the JS b.s. as we all are. Let it go.. James has his work cut out and it's on his shoulders not yours. Thank God Suzuki isn't paying you, we could find more conspiracy theories instead of racing.
@pitbull--Kind of like the "special" 4th place award given out for the FIRST TIME EVER.. After the 2011 supercross season after "wait for it" Stewart finished the season in 4th place.. NEVER have they given an award to 4th place before , until then for Stewart.. Why was that??
Wow, another JS7 apologist. Would've never guessed a straight shooting, no excuse making, Montana boy, would have ever fallen into that group. Ping, are you also one of those soccer dads that thinks we shouldn't keep score, and that everyone deserves a partipant award? It has nothing to do with liking or disliking Stewart, the bias (how can we still find a way to put this guy on a pedastal?)towards this guy within the industry is enough to make even the Obama apologist media uncomfortable. I'm with the guy/gal that asked the last question as well. My own kids asked after last week "when did they start interviewing the 4th place finisher?" I've never seen it done even at the amateur level! So I guess applaud Stewart for being willing to do the interview, and shun the media for thinking any of us need to hear from the 4th place finisher. I wonder if that 4th place finisher was Alessi.....
By the way, if James were a 10th place rider and never won I would say you are correct, that affirmitive action was taking place. However, Stewart being a 2 time champ, undefeated outdoor champ, 3 time 125 champ, and heck of a sales force.. I can see why they interview him.
If Ricky Carmichael came back and raced, but only got 18th, would you expect him to receive an interview? If they DIDN'T, you would accuse Erin Bates of liking the black schlong because she interviewed James instead. Give me a break..
James earns what he has.
Why the fu$$@ did they interview josh hill for 18th?? Why even bother to have a mic on the floor? Oh my gosh what's going on here, the stupidity of SX fans rise once again. Seriously, why interview second place?? He's the first loser. You guys are nuts...
@rickamatuzio
You got it mostly correct, however, it was Biggie that shot JFK in association with the aliens (there WERE two shooters!)
Davi never won a championship on a suzuki. He was on a honda in 2006. Jusy sayin...
In fact, maybe that's why James gets interview for 4th!!?? Erin Bates and Stewart are having a secret love affair. (Twlight theme music)....
Maybe they are secretly engaged in a conspiracy to bring trophies to top 5 in SX. Oh, I love making myself laugh so hard I piss myself
Lots of riders that haven't been on the podium have been interviewed. I guess people only notice James. This is the stuff I'm talking about, bringing in more mainstream idiots, err I mean "fans". Like I said before, James has earned the attention, he's like Howard Stern used to be. Gets as much attention from people that hate him as the ones that like him. I'm not really a fan but, this idea that he is only getting attention because he is black is getting VERY old. If you guys hate him so much, ignore everything about him. Even your hate translates into media exposure. Who sings that song, "Everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people"?
The 4th place (and sometimes 5th) interviews are being added to fill out the show. The night shows all start at the same time, but main events don't last equal lengths (which is incredibly stupid -- Hello, 20min + 2lap mains anyone?)
Also, the live shows are a joke. They have more time to kill than a spoiled emo brat in detention. The live shows totally suck. I don't care what anyone says.
Stewart is pursued by the media because of the interest it generates. Right or wrong there is almost always a strong and polarized response when the subject is James Stewart. The media simply wants to capitalize and get people talking. Stirring the pot generates more interest. It looks to me like they're successful judging by the question submitted to Ping and the polarized response from the audience.
James is just doing his job. I don't like some of the moves he's made either but you can't deny he has been one of the most dominate racers in the history of the sport. The story and whether he can rebuild to that level will be known only over time.
Good Job Ping!!
.All ya need to do is say JS or something about politics and this will be a long thread!! LOL
.Is this the first time you had a Pic of you on a Kaw?? If not must be the first in a long time.
I think they stared talking to 4th and 5th a few years ago, seems to be less of it this year though.
The new claim on the JFK shooting is that the Limo Driver was one of the shooters. There is even video of it.Search You tube for it.
I despise NASCAR because they interview down to 100th place...
Stewart is interviewed for one reason, and one reason only: TV is an entertainment medium, and James Stewart smiles his ass off and has something interesting to say. If they would just put the sponsor's names in a scrolling window as they are interviewed, then maybe we could actually get to hear what rider's really think.
Until then, Stewart is the most interesting speaker and he will always garner attention whether he deserves it or not.
Ping, the FANS are the ones that make this sport. Without them. there isnt SX. We get to boo and cheer for whoever we want. I remember McGrath getting Boos, RC getting boos, and of course JMB. It is stadium racing. This country needs to grow a little thicker skin again, way too many cry babies.
You're all a bunch of whining panzy idiots, I think they all should get interviewed. Be nice to hear their perspective and get them and their sponsors exposure.
With the amount of money Monster, Red Bull, Rockstar etc are bringing to the sport, I also wouldn't be surprised if they are interviewing riders based on contractual air time. For instance, maybe Red Bull has a clause for James and Speed that they receive X amount of Tv exposure. I don't know this, just a speculation. It would certainly make sense from a business standpoint
McGrath booed?? I have followed Jeremy from day 1 and I don't remember a single Boo for McGrath.
rickmatuzio= then you wernt at a2 when Emig had all his wigged up Fro fans....
@billc...Earlier the pic was Ping on a Suzuki then changed to the Kawi. I think his clutch hand says it all.
It WAS odd to see 4th place getting interviewed. Probably because it's hard to sell his new gear, now that his career is over.
Ok are all you guys joking me? He won his sx lites title on a crf250 not a suzuki, especially not on an rm 125
I'm no fan of JS7, but he DOES give GREAT interviews usually.
Why you so defensive over it though Ping?
All sports need someone for the fans to hate. In SX/MX it's JS7. Deal with it.
Top 5 should always be interviewed, as soon as they get off their bikes. If they whine and turn down an interview, it should be filmed and played on TV of them storming off. I watch the UFC and the fighters are always doing interviews and hosting shows. MX/SX riders can barely spit out a few coherent sentences, and seem dumb as shit. These riders need to wake up and realize personalities that make sports. It is the athletes job to make THEIR sport interesting. This sport is a PC correct mess with idiots running the show, and the top riders acting like socially defunct botards...
I watched the Limmo driver from JFK video. It's bogus and been discredited. It's interesting.. The reason conspiracies exist (in my mind), is because the people won't accept that Oswald could simply pull it off himself. It needs to be more complex, when in reality maybe it doesn't. Maybe Lee Harvey just hated JFK, got a gun a shot him. Why doesn't that work? It was a lucky shot end of story.
I've watched all the 9/11 conspiracy videos too, I do not understand how Americans can think Bush (a Texas patriot loving american) would somehow endorse or turn a blind eye to what happened that day. It makes no sense how that could be kept a secret. Yet Americans "need" to believe it was a huge event, in fact, I heard that James Stewart was apart of it.
Pitbull, the Out or work nut job you speak of was not out of work. He worked at the Book building he shot from.
Millsaps turned pro with Suzuki in 04 and raced 125 SX on an RM125. In 05 he raced 125SX again on a RM-Z250, but was edged for title by Langston (and Hanny!). He was signed by Honda for 06 and won the Lites east for them on a CRF250. That's the real story!

Pitbull before we go too far, I do agree with you that the media licks their chops at a black athlete succeeding. I understand that, and they will go out of their way to get stories.
My point, as I stated earlier, is that James Stewart has ALREADY won everything. He is one of the best riders in the history of the sport!! I see no reason why they wouldn't interview him.
I don't see the media going out of their way to interview Malcom for getting 6th!!!?? Why is that?? It's because Malcom hasn't made the star status yet.
I'm only disagreeing with you because James has a very successful history and is the pinnacle of the sport with RV. Yes, I remember the media going goofy over Donovan McNabb because he was a black quarterback, I understand what your saying. But with James it's different.
No, I do not believe in conspiracies. I think JFK was killed by Oswald, and maybe someone paid Oswald to do it. I really don't care because nothing will change if I know.
I don't believe Bush went to war for oil, because we won and oil prices are higher than ever. I believe he went to war to premptively protect America from another attack (learning from WW2, if we got involved sooner we would have saved a million lives), and it was a conspiracy. Bush, Obama, Clinton all have America's best interest at heart, but their logic is what's different. I happened to like Bushs' logic "don't fuc$ with the hornets nest or you will get stung" instead of Obamas logic "be nice people, and peace will find itself".
Wait.. Hang on Preston, what dying breed?? That's not cool either.
I am racist sometimes, but for good reason and its a deserved stereo type. We just had a HUGE drug bust in Minnesota where 33 men were indicted from Chicago for drug trafficing, Ep card scandaling, rape, extortion. Guess what? All 33 were black and their pictures in the paper. The sooner Black trash waste of living in or society clean their act up, the sooner white people will stop stereotyping. Did you know in Minneapolis that 93% of all domestic violence calls are black men? Did you know 89% of men on parole in prison are black?? There is a reason stereo types exist.
James Stewart does not fit this rule. He grew up poor, but thru hard work his dad and mom taught he good values and they have made success from it. James should be looked up to by black men, to get out and make themselves into something special. James is a great icon, like Bill Cosby or some others.
Man, I need to turn my phone off, my blood pressure is on boil. See you guys saturday
@preston--YOU are calling somebody a racist?? HAHAHAHAHA!! WE ALL know who the racist is, its preston--WE ALL saw your true colors on the #4 supercross racer of all time James Stewart post, YOU are the racist and proved it right there.. So dont give me the race crap. its not true.. I would just like to know why they decided to give a "special 4th place award" at the supercross banquet that year.. Thats all.. how is that racist??? I could care less if Stewart was purple with pink polka dots..
Do I think they should interview 4th place for TV, sure who cares.. I dont , I didnt have a problem with them interviewing Stewart.. I could care less..
@one more thing racist Preston--if I am so racist, why did I vote for Obama twice?? Idiot...not everyone who isnt a Stewart fan is a racist--dumbas$
@Rick--why do you get so uptight when somebody bags on Stewart?? Its putting you in preston and MXMOFO territory..
You voted for Obama twice because you are a moron - not because you are a racist.
@Weege--thanks for clearing that up.. I had it wrong..He went up to the 450's for outdoors I think and finished 4th..all for Honda..Thabnks for getting it straight Weege!!
@731Chopper--Anyone who would vote for the lying two-faced retarted only for big money millionaires in Romney is either a multi-millionaire or a complete and utter idiot...Romney couldnt win Mass. he was their Gov..thats telling because they seen him Govern.. He couldnt win his own Home state--Mich. And his Vice-Pres. candidate was from Wisconsin and they couldnt win there--even more telling..Your guy lost get over it.. America was smarter than that..
Speaking of conspiracies... Does Ping really run with his middle finger on the clutch (I know I do,) or is he trying to tell us something?
Oh, and you thought he was just running a Kawi pic, instead of the Suzuki he actually owns.
Look guys, I dont really want to argue politics, there is no winner there, just trying to get a point across to the idiot preston that just because a person doesnt like his boy Stewart it inst racism.. It makes him racist for saying it..
Davi maps turned pro in 2004. He turned 16 the Sunday after the first round of east coast. His teammate was broc hepler. He ride an rm125 until Vegas where he started riding the rmz250. He ride it all that next year too with wins to boot. For 2006 he ride Honda. He won his first championship against josh grant. He never won a title for suzuki, just races.
And by piece of crap I meant four stroke. Imma a 2 smoke die hard. Its just better. Hahahaha
Sad. It's just plain sad.
Oh boy.. Here we go. Let me dig up some stats for you that we're just in the paper.
I get upset about Stewart because he is good for the sport. We need every rider on the track possible. Black, blue green or white.
Let me ask you this, do you think James is satisfied with his career? I don't. He is digging and trying.. He has had alot of failures and was destined to be the best. He doesn't need this crap from us..
Hey, I say it the way it is Preston. I'm not a politician.. Sorry.
Here ya go Preston.
http://mobile.alternet.org/alternet/#!/entry/1-in-3-black-men-go-to-prison-the-10,5086018bd7fc7b56702a0531
It's very sad.
Good lord, all this JS7 hating. I became a Stewart fan because I enjoyed seeing him do things on a motorcycle that had never been done before. I enjoyed watching him get a bad start or crash in the first turn, then pass the entire field to win the race. I enjoyed his EPIC battles with RC and CR. I couldn't care less what color he is, I am a lifelong fan of motocross and I enjoy watching the best of the best. The last 3 years have been disappointing because Stewart hasn't been himself and maybe his championship days are over, but for the life of me, I don't understand the hate unless it is a product of racism. It sickens me. I have been an avid motocross fan since 1974 and I have NEVER seen this level of hated aimed at any other rider. The only conclusion I can come to is that most of them are inbred, backwards racists. Why don't you take your hate, leave this sport and become a Raiders fan. Asshats.
It's okay. I was young, stupid and gullible the first time around and gave him my vote. I was promised a change in Washington that desperately needed to come. What I got was a President that lies to the American people and preys on the average voter being ill and/or uninformed. I got an already out of control federal government accumulating more debt spending even more money. I got an already over-promised federal government creating more unfunded liabilities. I got an even worse tax code that does nothing more than confuse the uneducated into falsely believing the wealthy pay less in taxes. I got an executive branch that has destroyed the American Dream and created envy in the youth today that no longer admires and dreams of obtaining success and wealth by going out and creating it on their own. The change in Washington turned out to be nothing more than growing the machine and reinforcing people's dependence on it.
I didn't vote for Obama in 2008 because he was a Democrat. I voted for a man that promised something better. I didn't get it. Nobody got it. I voted against him in 2012 because I am still searching for that change - a change this Country now needs more than ever.
/rant. Can't wait for Supercross this weekend. Going to the stadium Saturday night and then going out to shoot some guns with my family on Sunday. Some scary evil black semi automatic "military styled" guns! I MUST be evil :/
@ misoheye, " I got the pistol, so I'll keep the Peso's. That seem fair!"

@NikolaTesla; Well said!!! If there is my (one) burr and the saddle, it is exactly what you described. Why do people feel they have the (necessity) to think we want to hear their (biased) negative observations about those they detest, for whatever idiosyncratic insecurity flaw they may have about themselves, to make them (feel) superior by tearing others down. Were these people so deprived as children, they think this is socially acceptable in a public forum.
Thank you, NikolaTesla for precisely expressing, my least (appreciated), and constantly submitted, observations on these boards.
It's nice to know you are not alone in the crowd, all the time...
PS And....it is (most) always submitted by someone who hides behind an alias, so they don't have to account for their own cowardly actions.
Oooouuuu...That really takes balls, doesn't it!!!
Please, excuse my rant...
Man we go from "Ask Pug" to represent us on Dancing with the Turds in a tutu, to
James Stewart and politics.
@731Chopper- I hear you on that one. Just for one moment you want to believe. Bottom line,Politicans are nothing but self serving crooks and the "highest paid welfare recipients in the country.
@mcmoto...I think it was the Toadies? Almost every time I read the comments that song pops into my head. So meet me at the mission at midnight and we will divy(sp) up there.
Anyone can twist numbers and stats to say what they want. Where I live 95% of the crime is by white people. It's a socio-economic thing, not race.
Pitbull ...your commie Nam blast made me laugh the hardest....great comedy.....before this turns to pure politics which is what a few guys on here hope for every minute of everyday (when there not on some politics site)...nice job Ping..your honest answer looked to make a little to much sense for some of the readers......GO RV1 till the last second of the last moto he and #5 will be coming... gotta love 18 on a SUZUKI though and he would be a great champ.(it will get real serious keepin that plate though real soon....)..."now get off my lawn.......".
"I think Ezra Lusk has played a part in it as well… Yogi drug him out of bed all off-season and shaped him into the athlete he has become."
Hmmmmm, another athlete makes a big jump in performance, and insider smart guy Ping slips in this little gem.
Bravo.
Polito-Cross Friday again...? What's with some of you guys?
JW: Could you ask Ping to give Matthes some perspective about Millsaps resurgence and why he's still on top this season? Thanks.
Best post I have seen in a long time.
."You voted for Obama twice because you are a moron - not because you are a racist"
Don't ya love how anyone who does not agree with therealmofo is an "idiot"
.It blows my mind that you think oBama is doing a good job...... Then again maybe you are a free loader and maybe that's why you like him??
You guys are making Pingaling laugh so hard, he just sharted Braaap bars all over his sneakers.
@BILLC--NO its not the case, and wasnt YOU the one who said I always look to start arguments with you, and YOU are now jumping into this one...
@BILLC--One guy calls me a racist because I am not a Stewtard,a nd another calls me a moron, and YOU only take issue when I call them something in return!!!! Sounds like you are just trolling now...and you accuse others of that, hypocrite!!!
Check this out, I just found out that they race dirt bikes inside stadiums! Can you believe it. Finally something to take our minds off how hate filled the world has become. As soon as I find out where they have them I'm going. Wish there was a web site dedicated to racing dirt bikes so like minded people could get together and shoot the breeze.
Therealmofo, not starting anything just asked a question. man your sensitive today.
"One guy calls me a racist because I am not a Stewtard,a nd another calls me a moron, and YOU only take issue when I call them something in return!!!! "
.Kinda sounds like when others say the same thing I do and you only go after me. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
I'm tempted to jump in here, but ... no.
probley best Sef
seig heil !!!
Preston-
Yes, I am aware of James Stewart and his accomplishments. I have been defending him remember? If you look at my post, I said that "James Stewart WAS destined to become the best". The would be PAST tense, if you understand that.
James Stewart has been successful from a monetary stand point, but IF you weren't new to the sport you would know that he wanted to eclipse all of RC and MC's records. He wanted to be considered the greatest of all time, because he certainly had the speed and talent to do so. Injuries, poor decisions, bad luck among other things has robbed james of about 30 wins and 3 extra championships. He will never reach Mcgraths SX records, or RC's MX records. Being the fastest man to ever ride a motorcycle and completely change the way a bike is ridden, I would say that's a disappointment.
You can comprehend what I am saying right? I am drawing a another parallel for you, so we don't get this mixed up. Tiger Woods was born with a golf club in his hand, and predicted to be the greatest of all time. He is currently 4 majors short and Jack Nicklaus and probably will never reach his goal. It will be an absolute DISAPPOINTMENT in tigers mind if he doesn't win 19 majors, because all predictions for the past 15 years was the Tiger would dominate all records.
Now do you understand?
By the way, I have been on the race track with James Stewart. Have you?
731Chopper, I just saw your reply. That's funny as hell.. What planet were the aliens from the shot JFK?
I really think James Stewart might be an alien sent here to disrupt these RacerX boards and cause controversy
to who it may concern....at least James Stewart (who has actually accomplished ALOT ) does NOT come on motocross sites and start talking politics and a bunch of hate filled nonsense....like only the lowest and slowest sort of nad chomping scum might do......@miso looks your starting to get my point..!!!...hopefully an RV win would maybe change the topic , heaven forbid if Havoc7..(.sorry JS7..old habit..) pulls one off...maybe Reed can sulk his way onto the box...51 , 41 ???? ............FU*K Politics and racism and the hater/idiots that sit around and think about either 24/7 and turn every EVERY f'in topic they come across into that worthless drivel that has never accomplished anything worthwhile EVER........
I would bet that JS does not go to bed every night thinking his career is a disappointment !!!
Lets not talk about the finances
Lets see:
He has many championships, '02 AND '04 125 MX CHAMP----'02AND '03 125 SX CHAMP--'07 AND '09 250 SX CHAMP--- '08 250 MX CHAMP (perfect season)---'06 world sx champ--- '06 and '08 mxon champ
he's third in sx wins and most likely would have been in second,if not for that blue POS he rode the past two seasons but he can still get more,
besides RC he's the only one to have a perfect season in MX,
no other rider was able to beat RC in motocross or even keep up with him,
he revolutionized the sport with his scrub,
I bet every rider on the line worry about him every single race,
he's great with fans,
he has the longest lines in the pits at every race,
But most of all he has haters, jealous people that could never even dream about riding like him, idiots that don't realize the kind of impact JS has had in our sport that we enjoy so much. JS can't crash or block pass or let someone by, without having tons of people talking shit about him. Even when he's not racing they're talking shit. THOSE ARE some SAD people.
He definitely has made bad choices in his life and his career just like other riders have, I know other riders that have sent their parents packing after they sacrificed everything for them their whole life ( I believe thats a lot worse that JS getting arrested) and nobody sees that or says anything.
But we as fans need to respect him as much as the rest of the guys.
DISAPPOINTMENT ?? I DON'T THINK SO.
ricka...... wow, you been on the track with james? haha who f;n cares and what the hell does that matter?
i think james will make a run for the state house(under the tea party of course) after his racing is done, which looks like it may be sooner than we had anticipated ?
I thought Millsaps was on a Suzuki too- but this is from Alli sports:
''An accomplished 9-time AMA National Amateur Champion, the Duke turned pro in 2005 where he took third place in the Supercross 125 East Series and won the East/West shootout with teammate Andrew Short. He made even more of a splash in 2006, exploding onto the national scene and winning the AMA Supercross Lites East Championship aboard a Honda CRF250R. No sooner had the last gate of the Supercross season dropped than Millsaps jumped up to the 450 class, riding in the AMA Motocross Championship on a CRF450R, consequently shocking the veterans by taking third overall.''
Ping said D#^K............Cool
I used to have that statue! It was plain white plaster and you had to paint it yourself. Like 30 years ago!
guys dont even waste your time commenting on guys who voted for obama. there thinking and logic is completely screwed up. just ignore them
Love the Kawi shot . Thanks for the day Ping.
Dont you think they wanted interviews with Villipoto when he was off the podium and he told them to feck off? No problem either way, whatever the rider wants to do is fine with me. There..... how hard was that?
Anyone else notice all the political posts are authored by individuals with spelling and grammar skills that would embarrass a third grader?
@grtfast
I made a political post. I certainly didn't major in English or Rhetoric in college but my spelling and grammar skills would embarrass a third grader?
@731Chopper--your political thinking would embarrass a 3rd grader!!!
@grtfas Wooo BAZINGAAA.That hurt.!You must be a hell of man.Your wonderful. You can spell and have good grammer.
731, the fact that you feel this forum is an appropriate place to profess your political views is embarrassing to humanity. Do you also defecate in the refrigerator?
I read the Dallas Morning News everymorning-eferyarticle front to back so that is where I try to keep up on new and politics. At least they had a small article on the Supercross today.
I would not care if bama was green I still would not have voted for him. There that was my politacal comment!
P: I dont read "hints from Heloise" I will admit that!
JimmyC- your missing the point of what i said. Go read higher up.. Yes James has a fantastic career and something to be proud of. My point, is that when your a child prodigy that is destined to be the greatest ever and you don't realize that goal, it's not exactly success to the highest degree. I know alot of people that are financially successful but it isn't making them happy.
The point I'm making, 10 years from now I bet James says to himself "damn, I shouldn't have done that Tv show and I should have racer outdoors more. I could have been the all time winningest rider had I had a few different choices." You need to remember that your expectations of James, and his expectations of himself differ greatly.
He publicly stated "my career won't be complete until I beat mcgraths record". "I'll die before Carmichael beats me". Etc etc.
I think James has a few fast years left but I am in the minority. I guess my opinion, or yours doesn't mean a thing.. Only James opinion of himself matters and we don't know what that is.
Do you think Mike Alessi is happy with his career?? He had promise and records written all over him..while James has been way more successful than Alessi, he hasn't been a McGrath or RC and I strongly disagree he should be #3 or #4 on the all time list of SX.
I hate when people take stuff out of context and run with it
Time for people to sac up, stop ragging on James or whoever they are fixated on, and try to enjoy the sport. This isn't General Hospital. Stop perving into their lives and blathering on about how to fit them into your ethical/moral/spiritual model. They ride a bike fast, that is all. Enjoy the show and stop taking life so seriously.
Wow, now we are talking about 3rd graders now. OK, fred you just might get lucky.
@BigUglyManiac- yes it is! GH the internet versison!
I don't know why they haven't kicked therealmofo off this site yet. THAT is the big question.
Ricka was on the track with James. lol James looked at him and said: "Hey you. Yeah you, boy. Bring me some water!" - and he did. It was his brush with fame.
