Wow what a crazy day for the Dung!! Goes down HARD in practic, Blows a shock on the line in his heat, almost does not make it thru the LCQ then Reed clean's out half the pack in turn 2 AGAIIN and win's the main!!

Yes! BillC, I think the locomotive has found his steam! Time will tell if he can keep it going. Tough field, for sure, but I just have to pull for the homeboy.

@ Pitbull I agree 100% They had their shot and RD pulled away !

Next week's startegy to win: "Stay away from Reed at the start."

Profile Picture
therealmofo wrote: 9:04am February 4, 2013

@pitbull--yes that is exactly what BillC is doing.. He rarely gives anyone credit for anything unless it is Stewart or RV... He doest point out that he held off and gaped Millsaps, the points leader, even after he passed and gaped Stewart, plus he made up time on Barcia and all.. No credit at all, because that is how Bill is.. He still wont admit that he slammed Millsaps and said he would never do anything, he shouldnt even have his ride at JGR.. In other words, Bill doesnt give credit where credit is due, and he wont admit he is wrong..

The Ryan's, they own all the 450 titles of this decade, with all due respect to current red plate holder Davi Millsaps, is there any one who doubts that it will be these two warriors who are battling for this title when the season is winding down?

Dungey's strongest championship tool is his long term focus and mental toughness, which was on display Saturday evening..
Villopoto's strongest championship tool is his all out speed and aggression on the track, which can on occasion reach up and bite him..

This season is living up to the hype so far, as fans we have seen great racing and surprises at each round. I am sure we will see more...Best season ever????

whats up with Tyla Rattray, is he not getting paid enough so he just isn't trying or is he too old for the class...or is he injured or recovering from an injury?

every rider who has won this year has got people creaming their pants...don't get too excited , too much racing left to know how this will play out...all these top guys can win so in my opinion. so a bit of luck and who is feeling it will take the win...but Villipoto is the guy with the speed, he's proved he can staight up pass all the best...

Two great unintended metaphors:

@datak "Startegy"

@the realmofo "[Dungey] gaped Stewart"

Go easy on BillC. It must have been hard for him to watch that ;)

Great night of racing....While watching Dungey in that LCQ I thought to myself...if he gets a good start and RV is back in the pack (which is what happend) he may be tough to beat...He had to CHARGE that entire LCQ and come main event time (25 minutes later) he was pretty familiar with the track and was still pumped..IF you were guaranteed victory in the LCQ - those 6 laps are very beneficial I say if you have not hit the track since Heat one..... Good to see Stewart run up front, avoid carnage (jsut barely) finally and even ran second for a while....They all had a similar pace then Dungey pulled a bit when Stewart and Saps where battlin'...then Stewart started to fade...but you know what, Good for Stewart...he was obviously fading on a slippery track and didnt push it which usually lands him on the ground....best finish this year.... Was hoping Davalos had something for Roczen...he was making up time, but then Roczen pulled it back out.....

I would like to see someone pick Chad Reed's bike up and throw it and him back to Australia,for the past 2 weekends he causes a massive crash and then throws another riders bike around like it was their fault.Come on Reedy just because you no longer have the SPEED or NUTS to run up front,does not give you the right to toss around Allessi's or Stewarts bike.Why don't you give it up and let someone else ride the bike cause your day's are over MATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pitbull ??? RC fell?? where did I say that?? did he even race??

.

therealmofo pull your head out of your azz!! I told you at least 2 x's last week that I stand by everything I said about sap in the past. But I never said he would never do anythibng I said he was not putting in the work and Honda would can him and they did. Do you really think he is no better than he was 5 years ago?? It proves my point that once he put in the work look how good he can do. as for RD I said in the other thread that he left them. But again to pull away from Saps is good but I always felt RD was faster anyway and have said so so I was not shocked to see that at all. But again RD now has 3 wins in the last 2 1/2 years when all the fast guys are there and they have all come with him starting in front of them. I have said many times this year that if RD gets the start he is hard to beat but when he does not he can't pass the fast guys. So untill I see him PASS RV he will not be as good as RV in my mind. When RD has a clear track and can get into his happy place he is FAST but he can't get into his grove with fast guys around him.

GWN why would it be hard for me to watch when I said weeks ago that if RD gets the start he will be hard to beat?? I was right so it was fun to see!!

I wasn't ready to concede the 250w title to Roczen yet...........I'm starting to feel differently.

Dungey banging that start from waaaaay outside was phenomonal!

I was thinking the shock losing pressure was the last straw in a bad night, but Dungey stayed focused and prevailed at the end. P E R S A V E R A N C E.

As for Milsaps' performance, what can you say? He's starting well AND ending well. He seems to be VERY confident in his equipment, because he is putting that bike wherever he wants. Good for him!

Davi is doing everything right to be a title contender. I found myself sitting in the stands Saturday rooting for him. We still have a ways to go and even if he loses the red plate, you can't help from appreciating the hard work and effort he has put in. I am guessing RV will be back meaner and tougher than ever next week, he has to be tired of this $hit already. Eli has to be getting bummed out but is not done yet. Good to see Ken get another win, lets see if he can continue tis at San Diego. That LCQ pile up in turn 3 was the biggest that I have witnessed in person. That turn had to be cursed!

Profile Picture
GWN wrote: 4:13pm February 4, 2013

@BillC, that was just my poor attempt at humor. I wasn't referring to Dungey's win and any joke that needs and explanation can't be good so let's keep it at that.

I think RV is the guy to beat but if you ask him who he believes his closest competition for the title will be at the end of the series...I'd bet money he says Dungey.
