Someone should give Jacob Hayes a ride...
Where? To the store?
Wrenched for Weston Peick in Greece...Great guy and talented racer...Should have better support in the U.S
Yeh Lets hear it for our racers in the north central USA! The first person from Iowa to get a national nmbr was , duh brain fade, uh yes , Duwayne Bonnet and he was really good. I remember at the 1973 Iowa City Coss country race as they called them back then. He raced a 100cc Hodaka and got 1st place overall. Only 3 people made 13 laps Bonnet, Bruce Fife and another person I cannot remember. the next rung all got 12 laps. I got 3rd behind Bonnet and I think it was also Rick Munson that got 2nd in the 100 class behind Bonnet. Not shure but I think it was Jack Penton that got 2nd overall on a 250 Jackpiner. I rember getting laped by each of then to this day. Munson got 6th overall and I got 8th overall on my 1973 100cc Yamaha MX and it was stock.
Had a good old memory relapse there folks hope you enjoyed it?
