Skateshops carried these circa 1996, and were commonly made fun of since then. They're just a marketing ploy and are nothing like skateboarding, and do nothing for the type of balance needed for skating. It's a big marketing joke so don't be fooled by Canard or anyone, these things don't appy to any sport the same way tightrope walking doesn't apply to anything.
